Antique & Vintage English Bone China Teacups & Saucers
Afternoon Tea in the mid-1800s began as a bridge between a midday lunch and the proper fashionable Victorian late evening dinner. Sipping wonderful, hot teas from English fine bone china cups and saucers and being served crustless cucumber sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream, jam and small pastries from the hostess’ finest collection of silver plate trays, the Afternoon Tea was filled with sensory-uplifting sounds, tastes, aromas and connection.
